Oceaneering Living Lab established in Norway

Early 2019 Todd Newell, Oceaneering’s vice president for global engineering services, stated that the NCS, with its density of fields and developed infrastructure, provided the company’s foremost arena for developing new technology. Consequently, Oceaneering moved their development of Underwater Intervention Drones (UIDs) to Tau Autonomy Center in the summer of 2019 and established their Living Lab focusing on the testing and qualification of their Freedom UID prototype.

NOV Seabox “Water treatment go subsea”

As a part of the seabed factory concept, NOV Seabox have developed a seabed seawater treatment and injection system that is totally independent of platforms. The prototype system is presently being tested and qualified for real field application at 250 m WD in Tau Autonomy Center.
